I love this show so much. It's all about the conversation even if there's no middle ground gained, it's open dialogue. People don't have open dialogue often without arguments two minutes in to it

It’s sad that these models seem to have no desire to be physically active. “I’m okay with photoshopping my body” like seriously if they took the time to go to the gym and be active I feel they wouldn’t have to feel they need to be photoshopped

This comment section proving that genetics (runway) will always beat putting in effort (Instagram). People literally congratulating attractive people for being attractive and insulting the less attractive people for not being as attractive.

I have nothing against ig models but how can they say they are body positive and natural advocate when they are okay with photoshop...??????? Like I get that they are trying to fix a problem but they are creating and justifying new problems in order to stay relevant.... it don’t make any sense sorry

I thought the runway models finna be egoistic and looking down on the “ influencer “ but... more like the opposite.

  21. Sophia Chrin

    Sophia Chrin16 giờ trước

SOME of these “ Influencers “ are claiming they are all about influencing people to love themselves and everyone is beautiful in their own way blah blah but they get cosmetic surgery and use photoshop. Ngl Runway models are better as a influencer by serving as a role model to those who support them. ( edit: there’s nothing wrong with getting cosmetic surgery & photoshopping but aren’t they suppose to be influencing ppl that they are beautiful in their own way? Yet they’re fixing themselves in a unnatural process).

As a photographer, I have some sayings on retouching. Yes it is necessary, all photos you see are most likely retouched. Even though you may see like a birth mark or like a small mole, the skin is still smoothed and all temporary blemishes are taken out. And yes that part of the industry is changing, It will never go away.

I think the main point in the end is that they all could technically be ig models, but only 3 can be runway models. There is a lot of luck involved genetically with that, but also there's some sacrifice lifestyle-wise. I think there's a lot of beauty on that stage. Just do what you're meant to do people.

While I do think professional modeling is a very hard, much harder than Instagram modeling, I think there is something to be said for Instagram models being a sample size of more of our population. They grilled the Instagram models for retouching and filtering their photos when in the vast majority of professional shoots for models the photos are photoshopped so I feel they don’t have a leg to stand on in that debate. Also Instagram models have to actually build a platform; target people, create a community, and build a business based entirely on themselves that too takes a certain level of dedication and will power. Seems like both sides were a little stuck up towards the other during this interview. All stones and glass houses.

I often love to look at the comments to see who everyone is hating on the most, and then contemplate why they dislike that person so much. Sometimes it's valid, the person is quite irritating or rude, but other times it's pure judgement. In either case, I don't think it's okay to say half of the things you people feel bold enough to say, but to each their own I guess. It's interesting that in a video about image, with people giving their own unfiltered, most humane thoughts and opinions about image, you guys feel the need to break them down or judge them for their honesty. Not everyone is going to be able to form the perfect sentence or say the right things all the time or even be coherent all the time. That's okay, we're all human. It's confusing. Give people grace. As for comparing the runway models and Instagram models... they're from completely different worlds you know, from different parts of a spectrum of image promoters. I just think that instead of trying to diminish one group and say that the other is more valid, we should view them as they are, in their separate roles, and appreciate that. They're bringing different experiences to the table, and I personally enjoyed hearing about all of them.

Sorry not to put anyone down but the runway models understand professionalism and have respect and passion for what they do and you can see that. Omg the male runway model is actually gorgeous for one and for two, you can see the difference in elegance they have. Insta models are there for the social media users while actual runway models are there for the masses... idk just my opinion

I guess this video shows the standard it takes to become a professional model. It takes someone with extensive attributes (such as self awareness, open mindedness, respect, composure, durability etc.) Whereas, just about anyone can become an instagram model. I guess this is why one side is more elegant while the other is just not. I dont even mean to sound disrespectful but there ya go.
